Personal Information Collection Statement for Job Application
 
1. The information provided by the applicant during the application process will be treated in STRICT CONFIDENCE and used for recruitment and hiring at Macau University of Science and Technology (hereafter “the University”). All the application data will be disclosed to the Human Resources Office and the employing department(s)/school(s)/unit(s) for review. In order to preserve the authenticity and accuracy of the information, some information will be transferred to authorized entities by the University with prior consent of the applicant for the purpose of verification.
 
2. Applicant must complete all the information requested on the page before confirming the submission of the job application and ensure the authenticity and completeness of the information provided; otherwise, it may affect the timeliness of the recruitment process and the selection results.
 
3. The account information created by the applicant will be retained in the recruitment system in the case of maintaining as active account. If the account has been inactive for three years, the account will be considered null and void while the account information will be deleted.
 
4. In accordance with the provisions of Article 19 to 20 of the Personal Data Protection Act of Macau S.A.R., the University will transfer the applicant’s information to the service provider(s) entrusted by the University within and outside Macau S.A.R.
 
5. In compliance with the relevant provisions of the Personal Data Protection Act of Macau S.A.R., applicant has the right to update or amend the application information and, if necessary, to log on to the recruitment system for corresponding amendments.
 
6. Applicant shall clearly understand that their personal information is transmitted via the Internet and may have risk to be known to third parties. In order to ensure the confidentiality of the information, applicant must choose to log out the account when leaving the webpage and keep the username, password as well as the email address properly. If applicant is concerned about the risk via Internet, it is recommended to use other methods to provide us your information.
 
 
Declaration of the Applicant
 
1. I hereby acknowledge that I have read and understood the "Personal Information Collection Statement for Job Application" of Macau University of Science and Technology and I agree to accept all its contents including the transfer of my information to the service provider(s) entrusted by the University.  
2. I hereby authorize Macau University of Science and Technology, in processing my application, to collect, use and check my personal information and verify my information to relevant entities when deemed necessary.  
3. I fully comprehend and accept that once I am registered as an applicant, the data provided will form part of my personal file and will be used for all the purposes that comply with the regulations of the University or law.  
4. I hereby declare: All the information as completed on the job application is true, accurate and complete, and I understand that the provision of any false and inaccurate data will lead to the rejection of my application or cancellation of my offer acceptance.  
 
The University reserves the right to change, add, reduce and/or amend, at any time and from time to time of this statement. The old version will be replaced by the new version when any changes occur, and the revised date will be listed in the new version without prior notice.  
 
Remark: In the event of any discrepancies between the Chinese and English versions of this statement, the Chinese version will prevail.
